Spatial Cloud Computing (GCC) focuses on the geographic information system to provide the GIS service. It is becoming a hot research topic for next generation GIS technology. In this paper, the GCC based architecture is investigated for constructing the distributed geographical information platform. The GIS platform architecture is designed as GCC based and multi-layer architecture that can be applied to integrate the web service, Servlet and JSP functions and GIS APIs together to form a uniform GIS service system. The platform can be accessed by lots of different computers in network with different kinds of operating system. The GCC based GIS platform can provide generally framework for geo-enabling business data and systems to provide reliable, customized GIS environments for end users.
