Studying on the foaming abilities of many kinds of surfactants in the water, three surfactants are preferentially selected as the foaming agent and mixed with each other; the foam volume and stabilizing time are measured. The foam volume and stabilizing times of the SDS/ZF1 complex formulation are better than other surfactants. Foam stabilizer can prolong the stabilizing times of the SDS/ ZF1 complex formulation, but reduce the foam volume, we can get different stabilizing time and foam volume by controlling ZW1 foam stabilizer's concentrations in the solutions. The stabilizing time of the fire fighting foam is greatly influenced by the temperature of circumstance; it maintains more than 640 minutes under the temperature less than 40°C,and disappear quickly under the temperature over 40 °C.
