摘要

To evaluate the effect of heat treatment procedures and grain size on properties of a novel glass-ceramic. Also, the feasibility of dental heat-pressing, and the effects of this technology on the microstructure of ceramic were observed. DTA, SEM and XRD techniques and mechanical testing methods were used. Results confirmed that grain size had significantly influence on microstructure and properties. An anisotropic structure was obtained after heat-pressing. Mechanical properties along direction of heat-pressing were enhanced. It was concluded grain size had influence on properties of experimental glass-ceramics. Heat-pressing led to an anisotropic structure, which improved the mechanical property of the ceramics.
