The soil samples of different land use types were collected from top to bottom on both sides slopes of the selected Chlh-kou in Jiazhaichuan watershed in the west of Henan Province, in order to determine the contents of 137Cs in various points, through which the distribution character of 137Cs along the slopes was studied in different types of land use and different landscape positions. Finally, the two main factors affecting the distribution of l37Cs (slope and slope length) were used for statistical analysis by linear and curvilinear regression, the results showed that the impact of slope on the 137Cs was significantly higher than slope length and "the steeper the slope, the lower level of 137Cs. So we can draw a conclusion that the soil erosion caused by slope gradient is more than the length of slope in the west of Henan province.
