Through knowledge flows, organizations can providerntask-relevant knowledge to workers to fulfill theirrnknowledge-needs. Nevertheless, conventional knowledgernflow models do not provide different views of knowledgernflow according to the different knowledge-needs ofrnindividuals or team workers. In this work, we propose arnnovel concept and a theoretical model of knowledge-flowrnview. A knowledge-flow view is a virtual knowledge flowrnderived from a base knowledge flow to provide abstractedrnknowledge. According to different workers? knowledgeneeds,rnthe knowledge-flow view model abstracts somernknowledge nodes of a knowledge flow to generaterncorresponding virtual knowledge nodes by a knowledgernconcept generalization mechanism. The virtual knowledgernflows not only fulfill workers? different knowledge-needsrnbut also provide effective knowledge support in teamwork.
