Genetic diversity of tomato germplasm reveaed by SSR markers

The study screened 18 pairs of highly polymorphic primers from SO pairs of primers for tomato by SSR and analyzed the genetic polymorphisms of 41 tomato germplasms by clustering method. Eighteen SSR primers total obtained 57 bands, the average bands per SSR primers pair being 3.2 with a range from 2-5. The number of genetic similarity between cultivars ranged from 0.59-0.88 for SSR Marker and from 0 tol.5 for biological character with an average of 0.735 and 0.75 in SSR marker and biological character, respectively. The two marks genetic similarity coeficient and mean genetic similarity coeflcient among cultivars show that the results of the evaluations of genetic diversity in tomato cultivars based on the two methods were similar.
