Average Performance of Packet Network

摘要

We discuss the average performance in fixed-size format packet network by modeling it as a bin packing problem, and analyze the impact of protocol header and packet length on the average bandwidth usage ratio. Our result is helpful for evaluating its average performance or defining the length of fixed-size packet.
