A joint study integrating geological and engineering data wasrnundertaken to locate infill wells and to optimize the injectionrnpattern in Hayat-Yasser, Kenz and Salam fields in the westernrndesert of Egypt. The focus of this work was the CretaceousrnBahariya and Abu Roash "G" formations which arernsedimentologically described as estuarine to shallow-marinernsandstones deposited in a mixed clastic-carbonate ramprnsetting.rnAll major seismic surfaces were remapped using pre-stackrntime-migrated data. A detailed sequence-stratigraphicrnframework based on core description and petrophysicalrnanalysis provides the static reservoir framework. Theserngeologic data are incorporated in a detailed 3D geologicalrnmodel, which forms the basis for all structural and reservoirrnmapping. Pressure and production data were analyzed withinrnthis framework, in order to identify potential infill andrnrecompletion opportunities as well as potential improvementsrnin changing water-flood pattern from peripheral to internalrnand to dedicated injection .
