Research and Implementation on Collaborative Simulation Grid Platform

In recent years, the collaborative simulation technology for supporting multidisciplinary communities in civil field and large scale distributed simulation in military field is one of studying hotspots in current research and development on complex system. Based on our ongoing research work. "Research on Collaborative Simulation Grid (RCSG)" project, combined with current information technology development and application requirements, some latest phased research results gained are introduced in this paper, which include the architecture and its key technologies for collaborative simulation grid platform. Furthermore, a collaborative simulation grid platform prototype, namely COSIM-Grid (Collaborative Simulation Grid platform) developed by authors and their colleagues, is also presented, which supports collaborative simulation among various domain models based on HLA and grid middleware. Especially, some key enabling components of COSIM-Grid is introduced in detail. At last, some typical application cases based on COSIM-Grid are also given.
