A relatively new method has been developed and tested torndetermine compressional and shear wave velocities andrnquality factors versus frequency for reservoir rock under arnwide variety of reservoir conditions. This new methodrndepends on measuring the Dynamic Elastic Moduli (DEM) atrnmulti-frequencies. The reasons for performing multi-frequencyrnmeasurements are reviewed in the paper along with potentialrnreservoir applications used in petroleum engineering, rngeophysics and dipole sonic log calibrations. Typical data arernreviewed using pure aluminum for calibration andrninvestigating the method using both Berea sandstone andrnreservoir sandstone at different saturation conditions.
