We, in this paper, design and fabricate an intenna for the Korea PCS band (1.75–1.87GHz) handset terminal. Intenna design is based on the folded monopole theory, and has several hot spots to improve radiation performance in active state. Folding structure in antenna is performed to increase antenna impedance and effective height. Folding lines both near and far from feeding point make equivalently increasing of series capacitance, which has resonance to get broad bandwidth in spite of short length intenna. By measurements, 13.3%(1.75–1.99GHz) bandwidth at center frequency and −0.34dBi gain was achieved. This intenna has been applying in Samsung Korea PCS phone.
