摘要

In-situ synthesis of the particulate reinforcing components into the matrix of a metallic / intermetallic composite presents numerous well-known advantages in respect to their introducing in a previously synthesised state. It assures cleaner interfaces that facilitate a diffusional liaison or at least a better mechanical encapsulation, finer and more uniform distribution of the reinforcing particles, energy savings. Although there are published numerous papers concerning various types of such composites obtaining, it seems that a general study on this matter has not been yet published. This paper presents a thermodynamic approach on the possibilities of the in-situ synthesis, in the solid-solid or solid / gaseous state of the reactants, of the most used reinforcing components (oxides, carbides, nitrides, borides) in the commonly used metal-matrixes (of Al, Ti, Fe) and intermetallic ones (of Al, Ti, Si) - in the same time with matrix.
