Innovative Design Method for Deepwater Surface Casings

摘要

This paper presents a method to calculate the load bearingrncapacity of surface casings. The method clearly describes howrnto calculate the immediate capacity of the conductor and howrnto estimate the soil set-up with time. The recommendedrnequations for set-up calculations are based on the results ofrnthree proof-load tests performed on partially set-uprnconductors. The paper also lists a series of key parametersrnthat need to be controlled for a successful jetting operation.rnThe overall method has been calibrated against 20 successfulrninstallation records.
