摘要

Basing on theory and practice, the paper has researched the principle and means of using air curtain (AC) to control the respiratory dust(RD) at location of the operator in the comprehensive mechanized working face. AC established an "immateriality transparent barrier" between the workaround of the operator and coal wall. In process of the shearer machine cutting coal, AC prevents dust from diffusing into the area where the operator works. In order to work out the reasonable and high efficient the dust-isolation AC in the comprehensive mechanized working face, the simulating experiment is done, and find out the devise parameter of AC. AC is high up in the pictures for high efficiency. Its average isolating-dust efficiency from the RD reaches 80 percent. AC has the active significance and applied value.
