Time division technique is proven to be an effective means to increase throughput of an integrated voice/data service CDMA cellular system by scheduling the transmission of limited number of data users at any instant In this paper, we deeply analyze the capacity of an integrated voice/data service time division CDMA cellular system. Firstly, the relationship between the throughput and different number of simultaneous data user is analyzed. Then, the capacity boundary for maximum number of simultaneous data and voice user are presented. In addition, the critical factors (the minimum allowable data rate andthe other-cell interference factor) affecting the capacity boundary are evaluated. The rejection probability of time division CDMA system is derived and is greatly improved compared with conventional CDMA system.ntroduction
