Extending UML To Support Spatiotemporal Characteristics

摘要

The aim of this work is to study the UML extension as the modeling language in application development in the Geographical Information System (GIS) domain. The spatial and temporal components of the real World features are the most important characteristics of the GIS. Therefore our work has been focused first on studying the spatiotemporal models proposed; secondly, on extending the UML with the selected spatiotemporal model; and, finally, on extending the Rational Rose tool to support it.
