Decomposition of Seismic Signal via Chirplet Transform

摘要

An important challenge in identifying seismic event is to specify its signal features. The time-varying features of a real time-sampled seismic signal is represented and characterized here via chirplet transform. A time-varying spectrogram template based on chirplet transform of under-ground nuclear explosion is built. In this paper, the nonstationary template makes the recognition of seismic events, earthquake and underground nuclear explosion, effortless.
