摘要

An algorithm for assigning 3D measurement data points for faces of a CAD model is presented. The algorithm is a based on the sweep of a plane through a volume. A set of events based on the minimum bounding boxes of the model faces and the coordinates of the measurement data set is defined. The method increases the speed of assignment in nearly all cases. The main application is analysis of large data sets, such as those acquired by laser scanners, and complex CAD models.
