The constitutive relations of a theory of micropolar thermoplasticity have been formulated in Lagrangian form. The generalized Lagrangian strains (macro and micro strains), strain rates, temperature, temperature rate and temperature gradients are considered as the independent constitutive variables. The internal state variables (plastic strains, back strains and a scalar hardening parameter) are also incorporated. The Clausius-Duhem inequality and the axioms of objectivity and equipresence are strictly followed. The applications of this theory in various areas are discussed.
