The integrated multimedia services are anticipated to be supported by wireless systems in pure packed mode. "The network is the switch" concept will be realized in future telecommunications systems. For the purpose, this paper presents a new wireless communication system based on the Packet Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access (P-SCDMA) technology, and introduces the art-of-date radio transmission technologies employed by this system. We also discuss the system design problems including: channel structure, physical frame, control symbols, transporting network architecture, and communication protocol, etc.
