摘要

Cross-sectional rib-eye images of beef carcass have much potential to play an important role in the field of livestock research as a source of information for evaluating beef marbling which is in turn one of the factors for determining the overall quality of the beef carcass. As more attention is being paid to the efficient storage of and reuse of the image data, it is found that the reuse of the images compressed by conventional image compression techniques is being limited by the inability to express Affine-transformed image with high accuracy. As an alternative method for overcoming such problem, this paper proposes the sequential compression method for cross sectional rib-eye image using a class of functions which we termed Fluency functions.
