摘要

Recognizing the increased regulatory emphasis on water quality in the distribution system, the Cincinnati Water Works (CWW) is implementing a dynamic water quality model for its distribution system. The project started in January 2000 and is scheduled to be completed in the spring of 2001. CWW's existing hydraulic and extended period simulation models, which include approximately 63 percent of the 2,750 miles of water mains in the distribution system, form the basis for the water quality model. The long- range goal is to use the water quality model as an important tool in evaluating and addressing a wide range of water quality issues and continued regulatory compliance associated with the distribution system water quality. This paper presents CWW's effort associated with the development and implementation of the water quality model.
