The surface tension of the mixed system consisting of trioxyethylenated dodecyl sulfonate with a series of polyoxyethylene n - decyl ethers in aqueous solutions at 25 deg C and 40 deg C were measured by whilhelmy plate method. The interaction ( beta ) parameters were calculated from surface tension - concentration data by the Rosen extension of the regular solution treatment of Rubingh. The value of beta in the C_10E_n (n=5, 7) - C_12E_3S systems become more negative as n decrease. This may be due to the closer packing of surfactants in the micelle. Temperature increase in the range of 25 deg C to 40 deg C results in a decrease in the value of beta .
