摘要

A blasting and production management system for quarries and open pit mines has been developed and installed in two quarries in Belgium and Spain. The system allows to acquire production data continuously and to quantify the impact of blasting quality on overall quarry performance. After six moths running, first results allowed to quantify the variability of costs and production level for different blasts. It was shown that these variations can be correlated to variations of fragmentation after blasting. Further running of the system in both quarries will allow a daily checking of blasting quality with regard to the actual overall quarry performance. It is furthermore intended to better adapt blasting pattern to local rock mass conditions. The system is operational and will be installed in two other quarries in France and in Austria.
