In this paper, carrying out of laboratory and "in situ" testing is shown, to determine way of ignition of ANFO and emulsion explosives together with achieved blasting efficiency. Impact of ignition energy on blasting results has been researched, with measuring velocity of detonation for examined explosive. Results of laboratory testing has been checked by blasting under real conditions on the construction sites and quarries and also correlated results of laboratory and "in situ" tests measuring velocity of detonation for explosive in blast holes.
