Property optimization of heat treated 7050-T76 aluminum extrusions

Excessive rejections of heat treated 7050-T76 aluminum extrusions were experienced because of failure to meet internally prescribed electrical conductivity/yield strength relation-ships. An investigation was conducted to determine the reason for the rejections and to determine corrective action. Evaluation of the corrective action was performed.
