摘要

Precision cutting experiments in a bath containing cold water or liquid nitrogen were conducted in order to investigate thermal effects on the microstructure of the pure Al machined surfaces. TEM observation results revealed generation heat caused by the burnishing and deformation process affected on the dislocated internal structure of the machined surfaces. That is to say, liquid nitrogen in the diamond tool cutting prevented the dislocation network from developing to sub grain structure.
