This paper investigated the performance analysis of integration GPS and the development of Quasi-Zenith Satellite System (QZSS) system in Local Japan region. QZSS satellite constellation and signal structure were briefly introduced; Asymmetric 8-shape QZSS satellite orbit Option was interested in this research and three operational satellites was used. Performance analysis in Japan region when GPS with and without QZSS augmentation are obtained by a triple frequency simulation. Availability, accuracy of satellite positioning was assessed using a measurement of Number of Visible Satellites (NVS), PDOP and L1 code DGPS, respectively. The efficiency and reliability for carrier based positioning was evaluated by using ambiguity resolution success rate (ASR). The simulation results showed that, with extra satellites and extra signals, QZSS could not only improve the availability and accuracy, but also offer the better efficiency and reliability of GPS in Japan area.
