1. On October 31, 2000, at 2317 Taipei local time, a Singapore Airlines (SIA) Flight SQ006, Boeing 747-400 aircraft, crashed on a partially and temporarily closed Runway 05R during takeoff. 2. Heavy rain and strong winds from typhoon prevailed at the time of the accident. 3.
