Soy Polymer Use in Coated Paper Paperboard Production

摘要

Soy polymers are used as cobinders in coatings for paper and paperboard production, and have significant roles in runnability and final board properties. The amphoteric soy polymers are chemically engineered materials specifically designed to meet the changing needs of the industry. Products have been developed which have a controlled level of pigment interaction, and require a reduced amount of alkali or no additional alkali. the changes in the products have resulted in improved coater runnability and improved coated board properties.
