Progress and Future of Pulsed Neutron Technology in Oil Field Management

摘要

The recent advances in pulsed-neutron technology for oil fieldrnapplications are discussed. The progress includes applying therntechnology to a number of formation evaluation and productionrnlogging problems, use of Monte Carlo modeling tornunderstand response in complex field-like conditions, andrndevelopment of interpretation algorithms in non-calibratedrnconditions. The remaining challenges in current applicationsrnand a number of emerging or proposed measurements usingrnthe technology are described.
