In this study, soiled and stained fabrics were washed using nine detergent systems, including water, a commercially available detergent in two amounts, and six laundry disks. Cotton and polyester soiled test cloth and laboratory stained specimens were washed with a cool (27℃) and a hot (60℃) wash. Soil and stain removal was evaluated instrumentally based on the CIELAB and Gray Scale for Staining rating.
