The Coulomb degradation of phosphor screens has been analyzed at 4 kV anode voltage for matrix addressed flat cathode-ray displays, employing Gaussian electron spot profiles.rnFor zinc sulfide phosphors new anti-degradation coatings have been developed, representing a key solution to obtain efficient phosphor screens for low voltage excitation.
