摘要

The multi-mode propagation characteristics and the bandwidth of a leaky coaxial cable with repeaters are studied. A mode equation and Hertz potential are obtained. Some unmerical results of the attenuation rates, electric field in the tunel space and channel bandwidth in the frequency range 10approx200MHZ are given. Owing to the interaction of three quasi-TEM modes, selective fading is observed. This phenomenon is prominent at some freqency. The bandwidth of the channel is rather large for frequencies higher than 40MHZ.
