Legacy Transactional Systems Integration Framework

摘要

This paper focus on how to use a transaction bridge to make an Object Management Group's Object Transaction Service (OMG OTS) interoperate with X/Open oriented legacy transaction systems, so that an on-line transaction may span two heterogeneous domains. The transactional bridging framework is applied to a CORBA client accessing to a transactional DCE platform, and to a proprietary transaction system which, in terms of standards, supports only X/Open XA interface to database. A two-phase-commit protocol machine with network access which can be adapted to different interfaces is the necessary condition to achieve a flexible transaction bridge at low cost.
