Ash Beneficiation Using Fluidized Bed Separation

摘要

This paper describes a fly ash beneficiation technique which uses a bubbling fluidized bed operating at room temperature or slightly elevated temperatures to reduce the amount of carbon in the ash. The fly ash is fluidized in the presence of a high intensity acoustic field, using the energy of the sound waves to disrupt the interparticle forces that prevent active bubbling and segregation of unburned carbon.
