The stress strain behaviour of FCSFA has been investigated and it is concluded that FCSFA can be represented as a Mohr Coulomb strain hardening material. The model has been applied to investigate the load capacity of buried pipes backfilled with FCSFA the results of which show that the FCSFA material gave significantly improved load displacement behaviour.
