摘要

Coal power plants generated 12.5 % of total power supply in Japan in fiscal year of 1994 and they produced 4.4million tons of fly ash in fiscal year of 1993. About 56 % of fly ash was utilized, but 44 % was dumped into disposal sites. An enhancement of utilization of fly ash has become one of great issues for cost-effective recycling of materials in power companies as well as environmental concerns.
