摘要

This paper presents a new method of on-off control for thernspring support to reduce and isolate vibration transmitted tornmachines or structures. The procedure utilizes the auxiliaryrnspring whose end is designed to control the clamping frictionrnforce with the brake mechanism. The clamping friction force isrnvaried according to the switching law that is deduced from thernvariable structure systems (VSS) control theory taking intornaccount the energy dissipation due to friction. The experimentsrnand numerical simulations confirmed the effectiveness of thernproposed method by investigating the transient response and therndisplacement transmissibility.
