The discontinuities in a rectangular wavegudie are classical problems and play an important role in the design of many microwave components, such as multiplexers, power dividers and filters, etc. The analytic theories have been established previously by the variational method, the mode matching method, the finite element method and the boundary element mehtod, etc. Because of the questions of comuting times and calculating accuracy, moreover the requirement of simple low-insertion-loss components, which are appropriate for compact topology and are as light as practicable for staellite waveguide communication systems. Recently the junction problem is refixed people's eyes and the new analyses have been presented such as the fullwave analysis method, the method of lnes, the fourier transform mehtod (FTM) and the port reflection coefficient method, etc. Teh FTM is especially noteworthy in these methods, because it is independently an exact and very simple analyssi mehtod without utilizing directly Green's function and the residue series is very fast convergent. But the conventional process is not able to sloving the problem of the bends and asysmmetric T-junctions, with the exception of the sinusoid (or cosin) fourier transform technique. that it will become complex.
