There has been significant developments in frequency synthesizer technology in recent years. The frequency synthesizer is used as main oscillator of transmitters and receivers in modern radar system. It is required for the synthesizer to have not only very high frequency stability, but also ver yfast frequency switching time. that is, the frequency, swithcing speed affects directly the performnace of radar system. Therefore, it is very important porblem to test freqeuncy switching speed and it is necessary to solve quickly. This paper introduces two new mehtods to measure frequency switching time, one is the time interval counter, the other is modulation domain analyzer.
