In this paper, we consider a novel waveguide mechanical modulator for mm-waves. The model and the experimental results of this device are presented.rnMechanical automatic or manual switches are necessary elements for different test systems; land based, airborne and marine radars; satellite earth stations [1,2]. But a widespread rotary waveguide switches often have relatively complicated construction, besides such switches can't operate like amplitude modulator. The present work shows the model and the experimental results of the novel waveguide amplitude modulator.
