Design Considerations for Implementing a User Friendly Service Creation Environment

To satisfy rapidly evolving market demands and growing request of service customerization,the telephone companies and the service providers highly need an Intelligent Network (IN) which enables them to define,design,develop,test,manage and maintain services more easily.The Service Creation Environment (SCE) is an environment that supports the service creation process and facilitates for service designers to create new services with or without the knowledge of IN architecture.Computer & Communication Research Laboratories (CCL) has studied IN for more than one year and has been developing the IN system "CCL-IN" which includes Service Control Point (CCL-IN/SCP),Service Management System (CCL-IN/SMS) and Service Creation Environment (CCL-IN/SCE).In this paper,we will concentrate on the discussion of the design considerations for implementing an SCE and the description of CCL_IN/SCE.
