Reliability and fault-tolerance of hardware is an umportant performance property of communication systems During our developing of IN system m the national 863 project,a Fault-Tolerant PCs LAN based upon Fault-Tolerant network architecture i designed,it ensures that any failure either in network or in PC node won't influence IN system,in addition it has a good cost performance,this paper presents the Fault-Tolerant LAN architecture and its application in IN system.
