SOME ASPECTS OF MULTIMEDIA COMMUNICATION

摘要

Multimedia communication is to communicate through synchronized integration of multiple media types.MHobject is under standardization by MHEG to be the unit of multimedia information.Multimedia information should first be serialized before it is transported over network.Serialization makes multimedia synchronization feasible without unacceptable delays and/or allows reduction of buffer memory capacity.A transport system is needed to hide various network technologies and offer a well defined set of QoS parameter for multimedia communication.A network unit called "meeting room" is needed to support multipoint communication in a multimedia environment.
