The development of digital transmission system has led to higher speed transmission pulse and the use of optical fiber. For LAN using twist pair, the transmission bandwidth is expected to increase from 10 ~ 16 MHz to over 100 MHz. It is therefore necessary to analyze the propagation of digital noise due to crosstalk of transmission lines in both the time domain and the frequency domain.rnIn this paper, we have developed a method that analyzes propagation characteristics by applying sampling theorem to the distribution of crosstalk coupling corresponding to the highest signal frequency on the transmission line. The distribution of crosstalk coupling is expressed as the sum of sampling values multiplied by corresponding sampling function. The propagation characteristics in frequency domain and time domain can also be obtained by its respective processing.rnThe flow-graph of digital signal processing is proposed as the method of calculation for the processing of sampling values. As an application of this analysis method, we examine the indirect crosstalk characteristics of twist pair.
