摘要

ARCHER is a newly developed electron-photon coupled MC code for radiation dose calculations. It is run on heterogeneous computing systems composed of the conventional multi-core CPUs and hardware accelerators, i.e. the GPU and coprocessor. It has been tested in several applications, including the CT imaging dosimetry, radiation therapy dosimetry and radiation shielding design, and has exhibited good accuracy and computing efficiency. Our ongoing work is expanding the functionality of the CT imaging module such that ARCHER can convert the DICOM images directly into a 3D computational phantom with high fidelity and efficiency, and also developing the proton and heavy ion transport modules used for radiation treatment and space radiation protection.
