PRESSURE-AREA RELATIONSHIPS BASED ON FIELD DATA

摘要

This paper concerns a loading condition where a sheet of level ice drifts against a vertical offshore structure and fails by continuous crushing. The objective is to explore recently collected full scale data in order to find simplified formulas for the size effect, which influences the global ice pressure. The paper aims at creating discussion that would help the development of a forthcoming standard ISO 19906.
