With the high-speed development of Beijing urban metro transit, the demand for metro drivers increased very much in a short period. In order to meet the personnel demand, training period of subway driers was much shorter than before. Originally, a three-year study and practice was required, and then the student driver would have the chance to be promoted to an official driver. But, now, the period of training have been decreased to only several months. Despite all these the safety of urban transit is very important, for this reason, increasing the driver selection efficiency and the people-post matching rationally to ensure the human security become very necessary. For this purpose, this article uses three methods to research subway drivers' occupational aptitudes and the importance of each aptitude, so as to provide support to the driver selection. The methods used to research aptitude structure were literature analysis, analytic hierarchy process and threshold traits analysis. In literature analysis, meta-analysis was used to summary the results been reported in other investigators article quantificationally in the field of China metro or rail driver aptitude research. In analytic hierarchy process, metro driver's job faction was analyzed into single activities, each activates can connect only one occupational aptitude, and used driver questionnaire to get the importance of each activities. Finally, a structured job analysis questionnaire system, threshold traits analysis system, was used to investigate the driver executive and recruiter to get the aptitude and its importance. Then, give each result of three methods a weight of 1/3 and synthesize them together to get the structure of subway drivers' occupational aptitude, and can provide theoretical support for drivers selection. The results show that subway drivers' occupational aptitude structure composes of six factors; these are memory, attention, response capabilities, sensory perception, intelligence and double hands cooperation. Among these factors, attention, including three kinds of attribute (stability of attention, allocation of attention, attention breadth), is the most important aptitude to drivers vocation.
