This paper compares the design philosophies of the French code, RCC-G with that of ASME Section HI Div. 2 andrnpresents the comparison of the designs of a Reactor Building (RB) Raft of a typical Pressurised Heavy Water Reactorrn(PHWR) under construction in India pea'formed according to these two codes.
